外部からロードしたJPEGに、ビットマップスムージングがかからないバグ
via Franto.com: Flash 8 - image antialiasing problem
外部画像をロードした場合、その画像の回転や拡大縮小に対してスムージングがかからないバグ。Flash8限定。検証例
これまた激しくウザイ。
解決策は、ロードした画像をonInitのタイミングでBitmapDataにcopyPixelし、コピーのほうをスムージングtrueでアタッチしてオリジナル画像を消去する。
スゲェウザイ。

ふつうにライブラリに読み込んでもスムージングがOffになってるから、デフォルト値が変わったんだろな。以前はデフォルトでOnだったし。
いずれにしても既に読み込まれたビットマップのスムージングをOn/OffするAPIがないから、ウザイことには変わりないけど。
＃BitmapDataでごにょごにょやってOn/Off切り替えられるFlash8のほうが便利ちゅーこともあるかも。

ですねー。ディフォルト値が変わったんでしょうね。個人的にはかなり困る仕様変更ですｗ
