進路のこととか考えてみてるところデス
今学期も６月で終わりなので、そろそろ真地面に来期のこと考えないとなんない。
日本に帰るか、イギリスに残るか？って奴です。というか、むしろ今後数年プロダクトとフラッシュ、どっちを優先にするかってことでもあるのですが･･････
まぁ、グチャグチャしてるので、あんまり興味の無い人はスルーの方向でお願いします。
出国前の華麗なるビジョン（妄想）としては、今後数年内でflashプレイヤーの重要が拡大し、携帯はおろか、カーナビ、キヨスク、駅の券売機、銀行のATM辺りまで普及する、というの予想していて、最終的には
「外側」も「内側」も、「タンジブル」も「ビット」もイケますよ！！
という辺りに華麗に着地し、モテモテの人生を満喫する予定（妄想）だったのだけど･･････
どうもそんな風に事態が動いていないっぽいのデス。
そうこうしているウチに、MMがアドビに買われていってしまったし･･･
おそらくアドビ的には、しばらくの間は、タンジブル分野でのflash展開以上に、pdfをはじめとした自社の印刷媒体での資産をネット側に移行させることの方が、絶対プライオリティ高いよなぁ、とか思うのです。今後数年のflashの展開は、おそらく描画まわりをSVG主軸に変更するとか、pdfとswfを統合するとか、そっちで回っていくのだろうなぁと。
それはそれで楽しげなのだけど、フラッシュをやるならプロダクトはある程度見切りをつけたほうがいいのか？という感じでもある。
一方、プロダクトデザインのほうはというと、イギリスは予想以上に情報や技術後進国で、タンジブルビットとかそっち系では、学校に設備はないし、結局物凄い勢いで自学自習するか、RCAかLCCのインタラクティブデザイン系に転進するしか進路がないっぽい。
やっぱり、ここで「静電誘導」とか「RIFD」でコレコレこういうのができるんです！！みたいなのをプロダクトのコースで提案しても、体感的なインターフェースはプロトタイプが自分で作れてナンボだし、悲しいかな自分は電気やPICの知識がない。その上、学校にもそっち系の識者も技術者もいないときてる。
なので、残念ながら自分にはそっち系は絵に描いた餅以上のことはできない。基本的に自分は先達の技を盗んで成長するタイプなので、周囲に先達がいないと成長性が微妙だったりする。flashの場合はインターネットが先達足りえたけど、電気でそれが通用するのか？というと微妙すぎる。
現在こちらのコースでは、まだスキル以前のコンセプチュアルやアイデアメイキングの養成段階で、今ドロップアウトしても実戦に耐えうるスキルがあるのか？プロダクト関係に関してはまったく自信がない。
世の中「視点」とか「アイデア」「やる気」が大事とか言われてても、本音は「まともなアウトプットが出せない奴は帰れ！」だったりするというのは、「flashの使い方知らないけどガンガるので働かせてください」といったらお帰り願われことがあるので知ってる。結局、視点だなんだというのは、基本的なことができてから先の世界にあるのだと思う。で、残念ながらプロダクトに関してはその「基本」がまだ未成熟だったりする。
だからといってあと２年学校に残って、２８歳新入社員でインハウスデザインの丁稚奉公からスタート･･･ 以前に「経験３年以上」が建前な世界で微妙なお年頃の自分がそうそういい会社に入れるのか？とか、就職活動、新卒と６年差があるスタートを切ってから、延々とトレーシングやプレゼンシートを作る日々に、明るい未来はあるのか？とか微妙に心配になってみたりするのデス。
なんというか、攻撃的リスク回避型人生を歩んできたはずが、気がついたら結構リスキーな状況にいる自分がナイス。
割り切って１つに絞ればなんとかなるんだろうけど･･･ どれを選ぶのか思考がかなりブレ気味。うーん。
まぁ、こういうのは答えがでない問題なんだけどね。

今日は丘が寒すぎてＩＤＥＯの感想を話すの忘れてたけど、先日お会いしたダイレクターの方はプロダクト→ＲＣＡのＣＲＤ→ＩＤＥＯのパロアルトに進んだそうで、「いまだにピクセルには弱い」んだそうです。
そしてＩＤＥＯのプロジェクトの流れは、専門家による分業方式から専門の隔たりなくいろんなことをやる方式に変わってきてるんだって。
こっちで仕事するなら新卒とか新入り用の丁稚仕事とかの感覚ないし、歳は心配しなくていいと思う。悩むとモテから遠ざかるよ。
